MSU ATO Homecoming Followup Information

MSU ATO Homecoming Followup Information…. 2019 Homecoming was a terrific event and we thank everyone for their support. An email blast to share some important information –

  1. Homecoming 2020 is Friday October 30 and Saturday October 31, mark your calendars now. Encourage folks to get lodging reservations early.
  2. $1000 Lifetime memberships. We will be providing information on how to become part of this group. Many have expressed interest in this, with payment plans. This will be sent soon. Many of us paid modest amounts each month (myself included) to make it affordable and support Zeta Lambda. These memberships are key, we have a 25 plus year old house with some serious maintenance needs exceeding our rental income. Thanks to Todd Logsdon, Jerrod Hagan, and Austin Buck for their Lifetime Membership donation.
  3. We handed out $500 scholarships to Nick Bohannon, Jack Buechlein, Forest Clark, Braxton Embry, Roman Graves, Nate Humphrey, Will Mayhew, Ryan Schmitz. We need to continue to grow our scholarship endowment, so look for information on that. It is handled by Murray State, so when they contact you via their telethon or however, donate but ask that it be earmarked for the ATO Foundation Scholarship.
  4. Memorial: our cannon is in need of repair and we have many bricks to add for our Chapter Eternals. We have a group working to fix the cannon and we will be getting the bricks soon, cleaning the area and leveling it out. We are looking at adding a flag pole also.
  5. Security: this is our biggest need currently. Many of our external doors are in a very bad state in both the main house and gameroom. We have had items stolen from active property to composites. We have some money in our reserve fund to work to address this. We will need solid doors and frames for exterior doors, increased and improved exterior lighting, improved locking system (we are looking at higher technology where actives use their phones for access and we can time the locking at night, thereby controlling ‘keys’), possibly adding some cameras. Many other fraternities have had issues and have spent money on increased secuirty. IF ANY BROTHERS HAVE KNOWLEDGE IN THIS AREA, ALARMS ETC PLEASE CONTACT KIRBY.

There are many pictures on Facebook from Homecoming, and we are updating our website – www.msuato.com
