Why is the need still there?
Lifetime Zeta Lambda support is truly needed for a lifetime. It’s hard to believe but our “New” house is nearly 30 years old. We are spending tens of thousands of dollars every semester on maintenance, needed projects, taxes and other expenditures.
Over 30 years ago and again less than 10 years ago, we had great fundraising drives to pay off the old house on North 16th and our current home on Main Street. To support paying off the notes, we created the “LIFETIME ZETA LAMBDA SUPPORT MEMBERS” with pledges of $1000 or more. The members are honored with names displayed in the main hallway. We continue to add Brothers every year.
We have around 150 names on this lifetime list. With over 1400 alumni now there is a HUGE opportunity for many of you to join this group.
You don’t have to donate all up front. You can pay as much as you wish monthly or simply when you can. While we are collecting rent we have annual costs with insurance and taxes going up along with the maintenance issues. The only way we can keep our house, a true house, not a lodge, the best on campus is to get donations and keep it up to date.
