Leadership development is at the very core of Alpha Tau Omega, and here at the Zeta Lambda Chapter, that commitment extends far beyond graduation. As we embark on another year of fostering excellence at Murray State, we are proud to formally introduce the dedicated men guiding both our Active Chapter and our Housing Corporation.
Additionally, to ensure the long-term protection of our assets and compliance with National Fraternity standards, the Housing Corporation has recently adopted revised, Restated Bylaws. Below, you will find a summary of these critical governance updates alongside our 2026 leadership rosters.
2026 Active Chapter Leadership
Elected annually from our undergraduate ranks, these eleven men are responsible for daily operations, recruitment, academic excellence, and upholding the high standards of ATO on campus.

Summary of Revised Housing Corp Bylaws
Operating officially as a not-for-profit entity (and also doing business as the Zeta Lambda Alumni and Housing Association), the Housing Corp recently restated its bylaws to solidify its organizational framework. Here are the core highlights of how the corporation operates:
1. Housing & Financial Safeguards
- Revenue & Property: The Corp is explicitly responsible for collecting rent from active members living in the Chapter House, managing incoming alumni donations, and ensuring the physical upkeep of our property.
- Debt Restrictions: To protect the chapter’s financial health, the Board of Directors is strictly prohibited from borrowing money or incurring debt without a majority vote from the general alumni membership.
- Zero Personal Benefit: The bylaws strictly reinforce that no officer, director, or member may ever personally or financially benefit from the corporation’s income or donations.
- Insurance Protection: The Association explicitly maintains liability insurance to cover and protect its serving Directors and Officers.
2. Governance, Meetings, & Membership
- The Annual Meeting: True to tradition, the Corporation will officially conduct its Annual Meeting during Homecoming weekend at Murray State University, held in the Graham House chapter room.
- Alumni Inclusivity: Membership automatically serves all non-active, initiated Brothers (alumni) as well as honorary/special initiates of the Zeta Lambda Chapter. Notably, there is no requirement for members to pay general dues to belong to the Association.
- Social & Event Assessments: While there are no general dues, the Board is authorized to coordinate alumni dinners or social functions and set specific assessments to cover the exact expenses of those events.
