Zeta Lambda Memorial Upgrade… The desire by Zeta Lambda brothers is the enhance the memorial and have decided to honor Alpha Phi Danny Hall with this fundraiser. Zeta Lambda memorial upgrade includes repairing the cannon wheels, and we now sadly have nearly 200 in the Chapter Eternal. We are working to determine who needs bricks. Additionally we are planning to add a flagpole with appropriate lighting to honor our veterans. Our memorial is growing and we need to continue to enhance it. This sits proudly in the front of our house for all to see.
A big thank you to all our Zeta Lambda brothers for your generous help in funding the memorial enhancements so far. Brothers always have and always will step up! We exceeded our initial somewhat modest goal, all funds will be used towards the memorial work.
We are going to leave this Go Fund Me open to allow for others to join in because the original “seed money” was directed mainly toward the purchase of memorial bricks. With 173 in Chapter Eternal and only 37 bricks in the memorial, it is past due to update.
The cannon wheels, flag pole, and new lighting are Must Do items as well. We have only started to look into estimates for accomplishing these enhancements. The bricks will chew up a good part of the budget. The Housing Corporation is going to form a small committee to look into other possible enhancements with an eye for lasting beauty and assure its undeniable growth. And to see that the work is done.
We will keep you informed all along the way. It is reasonable to expect most if not all of the work can be accomplished and funded by Homecoming, beginning Friday, October 29th. It would be nice to have a rededication ceremony to proudly show off our brotherhood. Hope to see you all there!
