The dust has finally settled, the dodgeballs have been packed away, and the ice packs have been applied. Our semester philanthropy event, Dodge for a Cause, is officially in the books—and we couldn’t be prouder of the results!
This semester, the brothers chose to support the local chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an incredible non-profit dedicated to building, furnishing, and delivering handmade beds to children who don’t have a safe or comfortable place to sleep.
Putting Our Mission Into Action
To put things into perspective, nationally, 2-3% of children sleep on the ground or on couches. Nationally, that sounds like a statistic—but locally, that meant 15 children in our own community went to sleep each night without a bed of their own.
Our chapter set out with a mission to change that reality, and our community absolutely showed up to help us do it.
The Final Tally: $2,000 Raised!
Thanks to the incredible turnout, fierce competition, and the generosity of our families, friends, alumni, and fellow students, we are thrilled to announce that Zeta Lambda raised a grand total of $2,000!
Because of your support, we are able to fund a significant portion of the beds, mattresses, and bedding needed for those 15 local children.
Every single dollar raised goes straight toward purchasing raw materials, ensuring these kids get off the floor and into a warm, comfortable bed that they can call their own.
